Hello Everyone ~ today’s Stampin’ Up Floral Essence Inspiration card was the result of an Inspiration Challenge.
It was so nice yesterday not having anything that had to be done. I had my dentist appointment which went well and then I went to the grocery store and ran some errands. Then I came home spent some time in my studio. I managed to get quite a few cards made and worked on an idea I want to try. I have the colors picked out for my 10 minute creation so I just need to get it made. Then I have my cards for the week completed and can work on my upcoming workshop, Christmas Stamp-a-Stack, and cards for my blog. I love it when I can play!
Our Handstamped Sentiments challenge this time is an Inspiration Challenge.
When I saw the inspiration photo I immediately was drawn to the bottom image. I decided to recreate it for my card front. The colors I saw were Blackberry Bliss, Early Espresso, and Smoky Slate. To begin I used a piece of Whisper White and the Floral Essence stamp set. Using the larger image I did a third generation stamping along the left hand side. I then stamped the twig from Colorful Seasons using Early Espresso. Then using the smaller image from the stamp set I inked it up using Smoky Slate and a sponge dauber to add Blackberry Bliss in the center. I stamped it onto one of the tips of the twig. I then used the same coloring technique to ink up the stamp and did a second generation stamping of the image on another tips of the twig. I repeated this coloring technique until I had all the tips of the twig with a flower. Then I stamped the twig again in another area and repeated the coloring technique of the flower for that twig. I repeated this until I was happy with the panel. This panel was then added to a Blackberry Bliss panel and then a Smoky Slate panel. It still needed something so I added some Silver metallic edge ribbon and tied a knot at the bottom. These panels were added to a Whisper White card base. To finish off the card, I used the new Ornate Frames dies from the Holiday catalog to cut out a Blackberry Bliss frame. I added a layer of Smoky Slate and stamped the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink. This frame was added to the card base using dimensionals. Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Floral Essence Inspiration creation.
